The role of Sponsorship & marketing manager
The primary role of the Sponsorship and Marketing Manager is to develop sponsorship proposals for potential sponsors, contacting firms and marketing the team through different media.
They may be tasked with creating and managing the team’s social media accounts as well as thinking up ways to generate interest and income for the team through marketing events.
The Sponsorship and Marketing Manger works closely with the Resource Manager to acquire sponsorships and maintain relations.
They may also be responsible for coordinating team promotional activities (outside of social media)
Responsibilities
Acquire sponsorship and donations to provide funding and materials to the team
Maintain relationships with sponsors
Promote the team on social media through a coordinated strategy
Promote the team in other news media (ex. newspaper, tv, radio, local presentations, etc.)

Even though the Sponsorship and Marketing Manager oversees all sponsorship acquisitions, ALL team members play a part in approaching potential sponsors and fundraising.
