Design and Manufacture an F1 in Schools Car

Design and Manufacture an F1 in Schools Car

Teams develop a 1/20th scale F1 car that must comply with the extensive technical regulations. Teams must balance legality with their need for speed!

Enterprise and Engineering Portfolios

Enterprise and Engineering Portfolios

In addition to an engineering portfolio to detail their testing, car development, and manufacturing, teams must develop a 10-page enterprise portfolio. The enterprise portfolio outlines the team’s branding and identity, budget and fundraising efforts, marketing plan, and project management.

Pit Display

Pit Display

The team create a Pit Display for the competitions which outlines the highlights of their team. Pit Displays showcase their engineering, marketing materials, and more to fellow competitors, event guests, event sponsors, and judges.

Reaction and Knockout Racing

Reaction and Knockout Racing

At competitions, students step into the Driver’s Seat and ‘launch’ their cars during head-to-head reaction racing. The top 16 teams after two days of competition compete in a double-elimination bracket for the title of Knockout Champions - and the bragging rights that come with having the fastest car and reaction time under pressure.
